Doctor Fate
Doctor Fate is another Justice Society alumnus who we’d love to see appear in Legends of Tomorrow. As one of the most outright powerful figures in the DC universe, however, we want him to appear in the show even more than the others, so we’re giving him his own entry.
Unusually, it doesn’t much matter who’s under the mask as Doctor Fate’s power rests in his helmet. The Helmet of Fate holds the spirit of the ancient sorcerer Nabu and it’s been passed down through various hosts since the character’s creation in 1940. Perhaps the hunt for the helmet could be the central story arc of LoT season 3?
We already know that Fate exists in the Arrowverse, as his distinctive gold helmet was previously glimpsed in the pilot of Constantine. Furthermore, Geoff Johns has stated in the past that he’s interested in a Doctor Fate series – apparently the helmet’s appearance on Constantine was intended as more than just an easter egg – so come on, Geoff, reveal our Fate already.
