Season two of Daredevil took some major liberties with the source material when it comes to how Matt and Elektra met, but by far the biggest is the reveal that she was sent to seduce him by Stick. Sure, she still fell in love with him along the way, but the fact that Matt and Elektra’s relationship was based on a lie comes as a blow to both the character and viewers.
However, it makes those earlier flashbacks of her goading Matt into killing the man responsible for his father’s death much easier to understand and actually adds a very interesting new wrinkle to the connection these two share.
