Threads, Meta’s answer to Twitter, debuted Wednesday with a healthy sign-up list numbering 23 million. Although the app is similar to Twitter, it’s pretty bare-bones at present. For example, it doesn’t yet boast a feed to display posts from just people you follow. Currently, it has a single feed featuring posts from both people you follow and people you don’t.
Instagram head Adam Mosseri recently outlined a few features that Meta is planning to add to Threads, including the ability to edit posts and to switch between different accounts. He also said the team is working to allow the ability to search hashtags, per Tech Crunch.
Can you buy followers on Threads like you can on Instagram?
It’s unclear at present whether you can buy followers for Threads, but various sites that people rely on to shamelessly buy Instagram followers do not yet have an option for Threads. Some sketchier sites — which we won’t link here since our mom reads this site, and we don’t want her to get malware — promise more Threads followers for a cost. But they also say things like “Checkout is currently under maintenance.” Which means; yeah, that’s not real yet.
However, Game Revolution recommends several other techniques for building your follower base early on, including taking advantage of an option to automatically send requests to all of your Instagram followers, posting frequently during the first month, posting visual components as often as possible, and becoming a verified account.
