We can finally say that amidst Donald Trump’s far-fetched claims, there is some truth. While his boasts of ending the Ukraine War and stressing he is already leading the 2024 presidential election immediately joined his list of unhinged assertions (which are endless), his prediction that he will be soon indicted in the Stormy Daniels case has finally come to pass. But loyal followers of the first indicted ex-president (now that’s a fun moniker) are having a hard time accepting the truth, especially Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is ready to march to New York to end the “WITCH HUNT” against Trump.
Apparently, Greene was pretty sure that Trump trying to rile up his supporters with the news of his supposed — now confirmed — arrest would be enough to delay the inevitable. But after news broke yesterday of the jury voting to indict Trump, his looming arrest has visibly bothered MTG. Taking a leaf out of her supported presidential candidate’s severely outdated dictionary, she deemed the very justified legal proceedings against him a “witch hunt” and demanded to protest against the supposed injustice.
But one of the saner people in the comments brought her down to Earth with an answer explaining the reality and how the legal system actually works — two things Greene tries her damnedest to avoid understanding.
Apart from highlighting that the “hunt” she is striving to stop is already over as the “witch” in question has been caught, the tweet also points out that Trump still has several other major ongoing investigations and lawsuits against him, including the big role he played in instigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. So, it is definitely high time that Greene accepts the times when Trump supporters could kid themselves into believing he can escape the consequences of his actions are very much over.
