Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming Steve Aoki documentary I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead. The biopic was filmed throughout the creation of Aoki’s most recent two albums, Neon Future and Neon Future II, and will detail the life of the cake slinging DJ and producer.
The trailer gives us a pretty clear picture of what the documentary will focus on, detailing the world famous DJ’s relationship with his father, the legendary businessman, athlete and restaurateur Rocky Aoki. Of course, there’s also plenty of focus given to Aoki’s career as a DJ and label runner for DIM MAK, and we can expect plenty of awe-inspiring footage of his sold out shows around the world.
The upcoming Steve Aoki documentary promises to offer up an in depth look at the life of one of dance music’s busiest DJs, while presenting a more human side of the man than we’re used to seeing.
I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead will be available for streaming on August 19 exclusively on Netflix.
