Watch GRiZ Jam With A Faux Daft Punk At Burning Man

Each year at Burning Man, a recurring rumor sweeps the festival grounds for the uninitiated, telling of a fabled performance from dance music legends Daft Punk at the Trash Fence. The long running troll tradition has captured the imagination of virgin Burners for a number of years now and shows no signs of slowing down with a new video featuring GRiZ at Black Rock City's 2016 event, allegedly getting down with the robotic duo.

Each year at Burning Man, a recurring rumor sweeps the festival grounds for the uninitiated, telling of a fabled performance from dance music legends Daft Punk at the Trash Fence. The long running troll tradition has captured the imagination of virgin Burners for a number of years now and shows no signs of slowing down with a new video featuring GRiZ at Black Rock City’s 2016 event, allegedly getting down with the robotic duo.

A video clip of the performance between GRiZ and the faux Daft Punk has surfaced on Facebook, showing the future funk front runner dropping some smooth sax solos for a jazzy rendition of the classic dance anthem “One More Time.” The pair of DJs are decked out in lifelike robot helmets as they drop the familiar tune for the unsuspecting crowd.

The social media share from GRiZ has fans in a frenzy over the performance, with many blissfully unaware that the Daft Punk on screen is just a front for some imposter DJs. That being said, it’s still a fun video that’s probably as close to a Daft Punk performance at Burning Man as we’ll ever get.
