Sydney Sweeney shares a valuable lesson learned while filming the romantic comedy Anyone But You, and how inquiring minds quickly put her newfound wisdom to the test.
Per IndieWire, the Euphoria star opened up about her overwhelmingly positive experience on set with director Will Gluck and her co-stars.
“I feel like we just laughed every day. That’s what I learned, which was to have fun and be crazy and let loose and not be self-conscious about anything.”
The tangible chemistry between Sweeney and her co-star Glen Powell fueled a frenzy of gossip that the fun she was referring to was an alleged affair between the two. The cuddles they shared while on location in Sydney, Australia, set tongues wagging. His partner Gigi Paris soon ended their engagement, unfollowing him and Sweeney on Instagram.
It is unclear if his antics with Sweeney played a part in the demise of his relationship with his former fiancée, although for her part, Sweeney remains engaged to restaurateur Jonathan Davino.
At just 25 years old, Sweeney has already gained significant experience as an actor, starring in notable productions like The Handmaid’s Tale, The White Lotus, and Euphoria. However, Anyone But You stands apart from the rest. Not only is Sweeney starring in the movie, but she also takes on the role of executive producer through her production company, Fifty-Fifty. This film is a playful reimagining of Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, centered on the contentious reunion of two college rivals who reconnect at a destination wedding.
The movie also stars Dermot Mulroney, Rachel Griffiths, Alexandra Shipp, Michelle Hurd, Darren Barnett, Hadley Robinson, Bryan Brown, and Gata.
Anyone But You is scheduled for release on December 15.
