Steve Aoki And Headhunterz’ The Power Of Now Has No Power Behind It

It's funny how small of an impact Steve Aoki taking a hiatus from releases for the better part of the festival season actually has on the EDM community. The L.A.-based DJ/producer has been quiet on the new track front since May's Neon Future II, and quite frankly, I wouldn't have complained if he stayed that way.

After all, “The Power of Now” is the kind of EDM cheese that makes newcomers to the genre think of it as little more than vapid party music. Even if you overlook the fact that Headhunterz had to sacrifice a certain measure of hardstyle credentials to participate in the track, it’s impossible to ignore that the melody sounds almost identical to that of Steve Aoki’s 2014 track “Delirious.”
