While speculation that a Swedish House Mafia reunion will take place next year continues to rage on, fans can at least take solace knowing that ex-SHM member Steve Angello will be delivering fresh material in 2017. During his last residency show of the year for BBC 1, the producer announced that he’ll be delivering a new album next year.
Angello brought his last residency show of 2017 to an end by announcing that he’d be taking some time off from Radio 1 next year. He took the occasion to announce that an album is on the way, bringing the two hour mix to an end with his own song “Stay” featuring Saints of Valory, which is set to feature on the forthcoming record.
I’m going to be taking a break from Radio 1 next, as I’ve got a pretty busy 2017 planned. This is probably a good time to announce that there’s a new album coming. It’s almost done. So next time you hear from me, it’s gonna be a lot of hearing.
The announcement of a new album set for next year is sure to send Steve Angello fans into a frenzy, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for the follow up to Wild Youth. As the producer stated that the record is nearly done, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that it will arrive sooner than later.
Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to 2017.
