Still hidden deep within the development foliage, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has been rather aptly waiting for the perfect time to strike. Its release date has already been moved from March to August, yet Namco Bandai have recently confirmed with Eurogamer that the game’s sights have once again been adjusted.
No details as to why the sequel to the misfire that was Sniper: Ghost Warrior is once again being delayed have been revealed. The first delay was rumoured to be due to Sniper Elite V2 launching around the same time, but a similar strategy doesn’t appear to be at play here. Regardless of the rationale behind it, City Interactive are now targeting a 9th of October release – giving the game a 7 month delay so far.
Patience is a large part of sniping, so perhaps look at this as training for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. After all, it will probably be the most realistic aspect of it.
