The original track left so much to be desired that the creative liberties taken by Marshmello were welcome indeed – but as with his other releases there’s a degree of maturity as a producer that’s missing, as though perhaps he relied too heavily on sample packs during the process. With the addition of Skrillex’s sawtooth-heavy drop, though, the track finally sounds like something that might not make us start a mass exodus to the next stage over when we hear it.
