As rinsed as trap music may be in 2016, Party Favor has managed to breathe new life into the bass-heavy genre. He’s just released his latest track, “Bust ‘Em,” which combines trap production elements with unmistakeable breakbeat drum patterns to yield a song as danceable as it is unique.
After a buildup that hints at the bubbly synth work of Baauer’s “Harlem Shake,” “Bust ‘Em” drops into a high-energy booty breaks section that mixes urban grit with a club-friendly pace. The youngest generation of electronic music fans hardly even have “breakbeat” in their vocabulary, however, so only a thin cross section of Party Favor’s fanbase will appreciate the full range of the synthesis.
Be that as it may, we’d like to hear what you think of the track as well. After listening to Party Favor‘s “Bust ‘Em” in the SoundCloud player above, make a trip down to the comments section below and share your opinions.
