Thanks to Toyota, the PS Vita version of Motorstorm RC will be free in North America, though only for a limited time. The automotive giant is excitedly promoting the fact that its Scion is an exclusive vehicle in the portable version of the off-road spectacle from Evolution Studios. Its playability will be exclusive to this continent.
Motorstorm RC launches tomorrow on both the PS3 and Vita. The console release will not be free, retailing for a standard price of $9.99 ($7.99 for PS Plus members) instead. However, shrewd gamers will notice that unlocking the game on their touchscreen device will allow it to also be played on their high-definition Sony console. This will provide a great chance to check out the cross-play mechanics that were heavily advertised before the Vita debuted on store shelves.
When it released in the U.K. two weeks ago, Motorstorm RC received critical praise. It’s not surprising, considering how promising this project has looked since it was officially revealed months ago. Players can look forward to sixteen unique tracks based on environments found around the world. In addition, eight varied vehicle classes will be available, representing most of the types that longtime series fans have become accustomed to.
Below, you will find a short gameplay video, which details some of the game’s unique online features:
Racing fans, this is one heck of a deal. You should not let it pass by.
Thanks, Toyota!
