Although the PS Vita version of Mortal Kombat was revealed only a few days ago, series creator Ed Boon is already outlining the features gamers can expect revolving around the specific features of the device. How does rubbing an enemy to death sound?
Your answer was hopefully “It sounds dirty, please never say that again.”
Boon sat down with the PlayStation Blog and detailed a few of the new things that gamers can expect when the game is released in the Spring.
While lamenting that such features as multiplayer for more than two players will not make it into the game and wishing they had found some real way to reward gamers who get the PS3 and Vita version of the game, Boon revealed some pretty big details about exclusive content.
In addition to 150 brand new challenges exclusive to the Vita version, Boon also said there are some accelerometer and light touchscreen controls for said challenges, as well as some limited controls during matches, like tapping the X-ray bar to activate an X-ray attack or swiping in certain directions to execute fatalities easier.
Boon said he can’t reveal everything new about the game, as much as he wants to, but teases that there’s plenty in store for those looking to execute a fatality on the go.
I, for one, hope there might be new characters. The PSP version of Mortal Kombat: Deception had extra characters like Goro and Shao Kahn playable when its console versions didn’t, couldn’t they follow suit with the Vita version?
What say you, gamers? What else do you think is in store for Mortal Kombat Vita?
