With 2012 marking the franchise’s fiftieth anniversary, James Bond fans have plenty to get excited about. There’s a brand new film, Skyfall, hitting theatres this November, a new video game, 007 Legends, arriving this October, and perhaps most enticingly of all, a giant Blu-Ray box set compiling all 22 official Bond films coming September 25th. Titled Bond 50, the set was announced several months ago, but today we have full details on the extras and layout courtesy The Digital Bits.
The set will feature a whopping 23 discs, one each for all 22 movies and and a bonus disc containing new features, such as a series of Skyfall video blogs. The Bits quotes MGM’s press release as claiming the set “marks the debut of nine James Bond films previously unavailable in high-definition Blu-Ray and comes with a dossier of more than 122 hours of special features.”

Overall, it seems like a fine, exhaustive assortment of bonuses, and there’s little more a fan could ask for. As far as we can tell, most bonus features from prior Bond releases are included here, except for Casino Royale. That film received a special edition in 2008, and those features don’t seem to be included at this time. You may still wish to hold on to all your old Bond DVDs just in case specs change or various features don’t make it on the set.
Bond 50 arrives on September 25th for an MSRP of $299.99.
