Kaskade‘s the kind of artist who will pack out any venue that he plays. This isn’t lost on Insomniac Events and Exchange LA, as both companies have enlisted the progressive house icon as the main attraction of the very first electronic music event at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Insomniac has had a particularly shaky relationship with Los Angeles officials since the death of 15-year-old Sasha Rodriguez at the 2010 edition of Electric Daisy Carnival at the L.A. Coliseum – which famously forced the massive to relocate to the Las Vegas Speedway. While the announcement of a show headlined by Kaskade is certainly a far cry from the city allowing full-blown festivals to take place within its limits, it might indicate a state of repair for how area lawmakers regard similar events and entities.
Regardless, with the amount of promotion being devoted to Kaskade‘s Los Angeles Convention Center performance on May 7th, Insomniac and Exchange LA must have some major tricks up their sleeves.
