Justin Bieber has announced that he and “Where Are Ü Now” collaborator Skrillex will be teaming up on a special performance at the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival this month. While he and the bass music icon had both already found their names atop the first-time festival’s star-studded lineup last month, this is the first they’ve hinted at a joint performance at the event.

While everyone from deadmau5 all the way down to lowly music writers has criticized Jack Ü’s decision to collaborate with Bieber, perhaps nobody has advocated for Justin as publicly as Skrillex has. He’s defended the child prodigy-turned tabloid filler on more than one occasion, pointing out that the difficult time he’s gone through may even have enriched his vocals.
Justin Bieber and Skrillex will be joined at the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival by the likes of Kygo, Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Wayne and Fetty Wap at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Long Island, New York from August 22nd-23rd. Will you be attending? Head on down to the comments and let us know.
