After making fans wait five long years, Justice finally unveiled their third studio album, Woman, last month to great acclaim. The French duo’s latest outing features ten new tracks in their classic post-disco style, with songs like “Safe and Sound” and “Alakazam” serving as singles leading up to the album’s release. Following up on the video for “Randy,” Justice are back with a new visual for their song “Fire” and they’ve tapped Susan Sarandon to star in it.
The music video for “Fire” plays like an 80’s car commercial, complete with a retro aesthetic. We can see Justice in the beginning of the video washing down a car, before Sarandon shows up to take a ride through the desert with them. There’s not a ton going on, but the sweeping cinematography and throwback visual style bring a certain charm to the table that fits the tune.
Despite its simplicity, the “Fire” video is a worthy companion to the song and the cameo from Susan Sarandon is an interesting, if not surprising, celebrity appearance for the band. Either way, it’s great to see another video put together for Justice‘s latest album, and fans are sure to appreciate its nostalgic vibe.
