Jenaux Improves Upon Elephante’s “Age Of Innocence” With This New Remix

Jenaux has covered considerable ground as an electronic music artist in 2015. The highest hurdle a DJ/producer can arguably jump over is establishing their own signature sound, and his remix of Elephante's "Age Of Innocence" furnishes proof that he's refined his own "big room funk" formula down to its most poignant elements.

Ironically, I had quite the opposite to say about the original Elephante track when it came out a couple months ago – but Jenaux’s blend of funk, electro house and future bass makes for a lens through which the original’s top line and chord progression radiate a more vibrant creative spectrum, while synths and sound effects which simulate a Chic-esque guitar riff are underscored by crystalline pads and reverberant sawtooths.

I can’t help but to wonder when we’ll hear some originals come out of Jenaux‘s developing big room funk style, but hopefully the NYC-based artist is planning some big things for 2016.
