Hardwell Drops New IDs In Two-Part Yearmix

As negative a connotation as big room house has garnered over the past couple of years, Hardwell has certainly managed to make the main stage-friendly genre work for him. The two-time DJ Mag #1 DJ has earned a reputation for premiering IDs in his sets, and he's closed the year out with a mix that follows suit.

As negative a connotation as big room house has garnered over the past couple of years, Hardwell has certainly managed to make the main stage-friendly genre work for him. The two-time DJ Mag #1 DJ has earned a reputation for premiering IDs in his sets, and he’s closed the year out with a mix that follows suit.

The Hardwell On Air Yearmix is broken into two parts. The first of which features a mashup between Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” a confirmed Kill The Buzz and Dannic ID at 14:06, and an as-yet-unreleased collaboration between Hardwell and Afrojack at 41:11:

The second part of the mix features the Dutchman’s rework of Skrillex and Dillon Francis’ “Bun Up The Dance” – a faster-paced version of the track with more progressive house appeal – at 38.19:

As electronic music’s transition towards all things underground will likely continue into 2016, it’s hard to predict where Hardwell‘s future will lie – but as long as he keeps giving music fans reasons to scour his mixes, it stands to reason he’ll stay relevant.
