For those of us who simply can’t wait six months for Christmas to roll back around, Hallmark’s annual Christmas in July event helps soothe the absolute humdrum of the rest of the year. The movie marathon runs from July first through the end of the month. The movies run from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. all day long, with the schedule updated daily. With well over 40 movies to cycle through, it’s easy to fill the hours with tons of summer Christmas cheer.
Beyond its standard fare, Hallmark is offering a sweepstakes for $5,000. The contest can be entered daily, so it’s well worth heading to the Hallmark website to enter your name and check the schedule to see which Holiday films are showing that day.
No Christmas season would be complete without a few new romances to make that warmth and nostalgia really set in. This year, Hallmark has two all-new films for viewers to enjoy.
A Royal Christmas Crush – July 13
The first film, A Royal Christmas Crush premiered on July 8, but for anyone who missed it, the movie can be seen again Thursday, July 13 at 8 P.M. EST. The answer to Netflix’s surprise hit A Christmas Prince, A Royal Christmas stars Katie Cassidy as Ava, a working-class girl who lands a prestigious position at the Royal Ice Hotel where she falls into a whirlwind romance with none other than the Royal Prince himself.
Take Me Back for Christmas – July 15
The second film made just for this event is Take Me Back for Christmas, which will premiere on July 15 at 8 P.M. EST. In a modern take on the classic, It’s a Wonderful Life, Renee (Vanessa Lengies) uses a Christmas wish to obtain the perfect life. Her new life is perfect save for one thing — she is no longer married to the love of her life, Aaron (Corey Sevier). Renee’s only hope to salvage her previous life is to make her former husband fall in love with her before Christmas.
