After finally releasing his latest collaboration with Kaskade in the form of “Beneath With Me” over the weekend, deadmau5 is back with an enticing update. It’s been a while since we first heard previews of his Grabbitz collaboration “Blood For The Bloodgoat,” but the Canadian producer has now confirmed that it will surface on his upcoming album when it finally drops.
Similar to “The Veldt,” “Blood For The Bloodgoat” came about after deadmau5 took notice of Grabbitz’s vocal edit of “Silent Picture” on social media. The tune made a splash among fans when it hit SoundCloud, who’ve waited patiently for an official release ever since. Taking to Twitter to answer a fan’s inquiry regarding the song, Joel confirmed it will be among the new material that will comprise his eighth studio album.
@deadmau5 Can we get Blood For The Bloodgoat released yet? The one from s*undcl*ud? It was spot on. Like, no changes needed ??

He also confirmed that a name change was in order for the oddly titled tune.

With its dark progressive house production and haunting vocals, “Blood For The Bloodgoat” ranks as one of the best songs to come out of deadmau5‘s studio in a while and we can’t wait for it to officially become available when his new album hits the shelves. We’re still not sure exactly when that will be, but the wait is definitely drawing to a close.
