There are three words synonymous with Dada Life: champagne, bananas and party. Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom are Sweden’s craziest DJ duo, and we mean that in the best way possible. The Dada Life dynamic is one that cannot be matched, and must be experienced to truly understand. Anyone who has stepped foot into Dada Land knows that these two are all about throwing down the wildest shows with high-energy rage music.
Dada Life have been producing and DJ’ing electro and progressive hits since 2006, and show no signs of slowing down. They have already played across the world at the biggest festivals and clubs, and have expanded their shows drastically in scale. The duo even broke a Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Pillow Fight at one of their Compound events in 2013. This isn’t the only record Dada Life holds though, as they have plenty of the musical kind, including “Happy Violence,” “Born To Rage,” and “Freaks Have More Fun.”
If you’ve found yourself itching to “feed the Dada” once more lately, then you better listen up, because we’ve got some very exciting news. For people who haven’t seen you live yet, what separates a Dada Life show from other artists’ live shows?
Dada Life: We want you to leave your brain behind and step into Dada Land as a fresh citizen. After that anything can happen! And stuff does happen. For example, we have the world record for the biggest pillow fight ever…
London, Ontario is known for being the home of the University of Western – Canada’s biggest party school. What are some of your other favorite university towns/cities to play in and which schools, from your experience, throw the craziest parties?
Dada Life: We have played London before. It’s been a while now, but I remember it being crazy and really fun. Only smiling people!
It’s been a while since we’ve heard any new music from you guys, when can we expect some?
Dada Life: We just finished the video to our new single and it’s out any day now.
You have a huge show coming up in May in the form of Dada Land Before Time – tell us all about that!
Dada Life: Red Rocks is just such a special place that we felt we had to do something really special there. It’s all in the planning now, and I don’t want to say too much, but I think people need to be there. I mean: we would love to be there in the audience just to experience it. But that can’t happen unfortunately.
What’s your craziest fan story/stories?
Dada Life: I can’t remember which is the craziest, so I’ll just tell you the most recent. We did a cruise ship last week and crashed these guys cabin posing as the security because they were playing Dada Life too loud. It was a fun surprise!
