Activision pulled the wraps off Call of Duty: Black Ops 2‘s Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map today, giving the re-envisioned level its very own gameplay trailer.
It’s difficult to judge from the trailer, but it appears that Nuketown 2025 may be a little bit larger than the original Nuketown map from Black Ops. What isn’t hard to see is how Treyarch overhauled the map with a fresh coat of awesome paint!
Nuketown 2025 is a 1960’s-style vision of what future neighborhoods will look like, complete with; sweet bubble dome cars, AstroTurf lawns, oddly sloped roofs, semi-futuristic video phones hanging on the walls, and backyard fallout shelters. To be honest, I’m kind of upset that we didn’t end up getting some of that stuff in the real world. Especially the bubble dome cars.
The Nuketown 2025 map comes free when you pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which will also get you into the Double XP launch weekend on November 16-18.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on November 13th, with a Wii U version launching alongside the new console on November 18th. Check out the Nuketown 2025 trailer below.
