He Goes Big Or Goes Home (To Arkham)
While other supervillains have some strange and ludicrous motives, the Riddler’s is pretty easy to figure out: he wants to be the smartest guy in the room at any given moment – and he never hides this fact. He strongly believes he already is a genius, and that’s why he puts together intricate plans to reaffirm his superiority to everyone else.
At the same time, this is his biggest downfall, since his ego dictates how he acts and reacts, but it’s admirable that he’s someone who aspires to be the best version of himself possible. Rather than sit on his laurels and accept that Batman and Robin will always defeat his masterful plans, he tries to better himself and prove that he truly is the best.
There are far too many rogues who don’t care what people think of them. Not Nigma. He wants it all and he wants it now. He’s no second-rate chump, demanding the respect he duly deserves. So, give it to him, or face the consequences of his wrath.
