Miles Morales
The character it would make the most sense for Spider-Man to team up with at some point in the future, though, has to be… Spider-Man!
Since replacing Peter Parker as the amazing webslinger in Marvel’s Ultimate universe in 2011, Miles Morales has grown into a fan favourite hero, leading to many calling for him to enter the MCU. While we do have an animated movie starring Dope‘s Shameik Moore coming next year, that’s not quite the same as seeing Miles sharing the screen with Peter.
Thankfully, this isn’t totally off the cards. There was even an oblique reference to the character in Spider-Man: Homecoming, when Donald Glover’s Aaron Davis mentioned his nephew while talking to Spidey. Comic book fans will know that he was referring to Miles. Of course, this is miles (heh) away from the character actually appearing in the movies – Marvel would have to get Sony’s approval, after all – but it does confirm that Morales is out there somewhere, as supported by statements from Kevin Feige.
Assuming Sony aren’t looking to use Miles in their upcoming Spider-Man Villain Movie Universe (or whatever it is), Marvel could be in the clear to make use of the teen hero. It might be messing with history to introduce Miles while Peter is himself still just a kid, but he simply means too much to people to keep him out of the MCU for long.
