Nick Jonas Debuts Music Video For “Voodoo”

Following in the footsteps of his older brother Joe and his band DNCE, who just debuted their sultry video for “Body Moves,” pop star Nick Jonas is releasing a music video of his own. A clip for his new single, “Voodoo,” has arrived, and rather than the more explicit route that “Body Moves” took, “Voodoo” is all about letting the good times roll.

The blurry music video, which is premiering exclusively on Tidal, shows off New Orleans nightlife as Jonas and his crew venture around the city while partying it up. Living up to the “Voodoo” name, the video also projects some supernatural effects when it comes to visuals, adding a fun psychedelic feel to it at certain points. If you aren’t a Tidal subscriber, your only dose of the trippy “Voodoo” video that’s available is a snippet of it.

“Voodoo” joins “Close” and “Bacon” as some of the best videos that have come out of Nick Jonas’ latest record, Last Year Was Complicated. Though the Tove Lo-assisted “Close” has been, by far, the most successful song off the record since its release this past June, the album is chock full of single-worthy songs like “Touch” and “Champagne Problems” – it’s only a matter of time before a video gets made for one of those, too.
