Big Daddy Kane, one of the veterans that started in the golden era of hip hop from the mid 80’s to early 90’s and has been considered one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time, is planning to release an album that showcases the music that influenced him. ‘The Last Supper’ is set to feature the funk group Connie Price and the Keystones backing his vocals.
BDK spoke to GoWhereHiphop recently and gave some details about the album, “I got a live album I’m doing with my whole band featuring my man Showtime who sings with Pharoahe Monch. It’s a Hip Hop/Soul album really paying homage to ’60s and ’70s Soul and ’80s Hip Hop.”
This will be the rapper’s first album since 1998’s ‘Veteranz Day’.
