In the grand scheme of weird film adaptations of old toy lines, DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming Trolls movie is pretty far up the list. All the same, new casting announcements for the family-friendly movie build up a promising ensemble: Zooey Deschanel, Jeffrey Tambor, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Christine Baranski, Quvenzhané Wallis and John Cleese have all been added to the voice cast of the film.

The new additions join recently-announced stars Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake in the upcoming movie, along with comedic actor Kunal Nayyar and late-night host James Corden. Understandably, co-directors Mike Mitchell and Walt Dohrn are pretty happy with the cast that’s beginning to shape up for Trolls:

“Our cast is quite literally bursting with talent. This mix of comedic and musical star-power is every filmmaker’s dream,” said Mitchell. “We’re fortunate to work with such an incredible group of artists. We can’t wait to share the colorful, magical Trolls universe with fans around the world,” added Dohrn.

The quick synopsis for the film centers around a hardcore survivalist named Branch (Timberlake) and Princess Poppy (Kendrick) who embark on an epic adventure of some kind. Sounds like it could be good fun for the young ones, don’t you think?

You can discover the Trolls for yourself when the movie releases in the United States on November 4, 2016.
