Joining former Spider-Man co-star J.K. Simmons in the transition from Marvel to DC, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed Willem Dafoe has joined the ranks of Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

No word yet on exactly who Dafoe will be portraying across Snyder’s two-part ensemble piece, though THR notes he’ll be siding with the good guys much like Simmons, who boarded the tentpole as Commissioner Gordon early last month.

Reprising their roles as the titular duo from last month’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice are Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck as Supes and the Caped Crusader, respectively, flanked by DC’s elite – Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Chris Terrio penned the screenplay alongside Snyder, with Justice League – Part One pegged to arrive in November of 2017. By that stage in the DC Extended Universe timeline, we’ll have been introduced to Themyscira in Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman movie, with plans in place to spin out standalone movies for Aquaman, The Flash and eventually Ray Fisher’s Cyborg in the years thereafter.

Seemingly featuring a lighter tone than that found in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zack Snyder’s Justice League will release across November 17, 2017 and June 14, 2019.
