Zack Snyder continues to use Vero as a WMD against Warner Bros. and DC.
Over the past couple of weeks, the former Justice League director has been running through his superhero epic Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice on the social media platform with a fine-tooth comb. Whether the filmmaker is fondly reminiscing about the cinematic universe though, which, at one point, was entirely under his control, or pining over it, depends on who you ask.
Clarification regarding Batman’s Kryptonite spear and the revealing of Cyborg’s Easter egg was helpful and all, but Snyder really sparked the imaginations of fans yesterday. And that’s because the director posted the following cryptic quote on Vero. It was in regards to the the Knightmare Flash vision Bruce Wayne experienced in Dawn of Justice, and you can see it in its entirety below.
The quote Snyder posted is abstruse, no question about it. It could be referring to the fact that, with the arrival of Superman, Earth is now apart of something much bigger than itself in the universe. “Flash is the Madman who’s time is not yet and heralds a future where God is dead,” quite clearly references the Knightmare Flash vision and could also represent an alternate future where Lois Lane has died. Maybe even at the hands of the Joker, much like the storyline from the video game Injustice 2.
Whatever’s going on here, Snyder has once again got fans speculating and it’s great to see that even so long after release, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is still inspiring debate and discussion as the director continues to peel back the layers on his divisive film.
