The Caped Crusader can be seen leaping into action in this all-new BTS photo for Justice League, but does this post signal that a new trailer is imminent?
That’s the question that has been hot on everyone’s lips for weeks, and with Warner Bros. gearing up to launch a new promo for Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword – twice delayed, it’s on course to drop in May – the latest trailers for both Wonder Woman and Justice League can’t be too far behind it.
Until such a time when we have that new preview to peruse, this behind-the-scenes image is really the next best thing. Taken from the Justice League editing bay, according to the caption attached to the picture, Zack Snyder is currently overseeing the film’s color-grading process.
As for the action scene itself, the photo showcases Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader catching a trio of heavily-armed goons off guard, swooping down to take one out before dealing with his hulking compadres – at least, that’s how we think the scene will unfold. It’s impossible to tell how this factors into the overarching plot, but given that Justice League‘s new trailer is now long overdue, it seems safe to assume that, following today’s brief status report, Batman’s tussle will feature when that sizzle reel finally debuts.
Speaking of the World’s Greatest Detective, Warner Bros. is reportedly on the verge of closing a deal with Matt Reeves to helm The Batman in place of Ben Affleck. Not only that, but sources claim Reeves is negotiating a multi-picture contract with the studio, which would allow him to be a huge influence on the film’s casting process.
Justice League, meanwhile, swoops into theaters on November 17th. Next up for the DCEU is the release of Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman solo movie, which is earmarked for June 2nd.
