It’s been a big week for trailer debuts so far, and that’s set to continue when 20th Century Fox unveils the very first teaser for the next installment in their X-franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse.
To mark the occasion, they’ve released the motion poster below, which, while not terribly revealing, does feature a half-scorched X-logo and the tagline, “Only The Strong Will Survive.” That’s most likely a reference to Oscar Isaac’s titular villain, En Sabah Nur, who holds a very strict survival of the fittest policy when it comes to the mutants he deems worthy of inheriting the earth.
As for the trailer, we don’t know what to expect from it just yet, but rumors say that it will mainly feature the footage that was debuted at Comic-Con this past Summer, which was received quite positively by those who were in attendance. So we’re definitely looking forward to seeing it.
X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016. We’ll have the trailer for you tomorrow, but in the meantime, check out the first poster below.
