New X-Men: Days Of Future Past Posters Show Off Poor Photoshop Skills

With X-Men: Days Of Future Past a little over a month away, 20th Century Fox wants to make sure that audiences find their way into theatres for the much anticipated sequel. It doesn’t seem like the real marketing blitz has begun just yet, but it’s certainly starting to ramp up.

Today sees the release of several new posters that show off our favorite mutants, including Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine doing a lot of glaring, and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto standing behind people. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we get anything new here as the posters are more or less just character shots with a bit of Photoshop magic added to them.

You’ve got your typical and cliche blue/orange hue posters, that weird one with Hugh Jackman standing before big rocky Days of Future Past text, and a lot of sparks and rubble flying around everywhere. Almost all of the mutants get a chance to shine and if nothing else, the posters serve as a reminder that Bryan Singer’s upcoming sequel is going to include a hell of a lot of characters.

It’s also worth nothing that Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique is present in most of shots here. Could this mean she has a bigger part in Days of Future Past than she’s had in previous films? Or is the studio simply trying to cash in on her Hunger Games popularity? I guess we’ll have to wait until the film hits on May 23rd to find out.
