Elvis Presley passed away on August 16th, 1977 and last Friday marked the 42nd anniversary of the King’s death.
Now why is that significant, you may ask? Well, it’s because Presley’s now been gone from this Earth as long as he’d been on it.
This doesn’t sound like your typical introduction to a conversation about Zombieland: Double Tap – other than the fact that we’re talking about dead people – but given that Woody Harrelson seems to conjure up the spirit of the Rock and Roll legend in the film’s latest still, it felt like a fact worth mentioning.
You can check out Harrelson’s rockin’ garb for yourself down below:
Late in July, we got our first real look at the sequel that’s been 10 years in the making. And with less than two months to go before Double Tap hits theaters, we’re getting more and more bits and pieces to gnaw over in anticipation.
One thing I’m personally excited for is to see Luke Wilson back on the big screen. As Albuquerque, who’s pictured above, his character’s set up as the New Mexico-based equivalent of Harrelson’s Tallahassee, and hopefully, he possesses the same no-holds-barred approach to zombie killing as our Twinkie-desiring pal.
But Albuquerque is only one of the new faces we’ll be meeting come October. Also joining the cast are Dirty Grandpa‘s Zoey Deutch, Victorious‘ Avan Jogia, and Rent‘s Rosario Dawson.
So with that said, tell us, are you excited for what Ruben Fleischer has in store for fans with Zombieland: Double Tap? Be sure to drop us a comment down below with your thoughts on the upcoming film, and to check it out once it releases in theaters on October 18th.
