Alec Baldwin has been in the news a lot recently due in large part to an unfortunate occurrence on the set of now-suspended Western Rust.
Long before he was making headlines over the Rust incident, Baldwin was a consistent presence in the news. He’s been a mainstay in Hollywood for decades, appearing in his very first on-screen project at the outset of the ’80s and going on to star in more than 100 film and television releases.
He may be the most famous face of the Baldwin clan, but he’s far from the only prominent member of his family. Each of his three brothers are also actors, appearing across a variety of film genres, and several of their former and current wives are heavy hitters in the film and music worlds as well. Baldwin was married to actress Kim Basinger for nine years, between 1993 and 2002, but the two eventually divorced, engaging in a lengthy court battle over custody of their daughter, Ireland.
It took Baldwin a while to find love following his divorce from Basinger, but he did eventually move on. He met his now-wife, Hillary — also known as Hilaria — in 2011, and the two hit it off right away.

Baldwin and Hilaria met while she was working as a yoga instructor in Manhattan. With a 25-year age gap between them, the couple’s enduring relationship may be a surprise to some, but they’ll be celebrating a decade of marriage this June.
In the years since she tied the knot with Baldwin, Hilaria has found work as a model, podcast host, and author. The 38-year-old has appeared on the cover of several magazines, published a book called The Living Clearly Method in 2016, and worked for years on the podcast Mom Brain.
Baldwin and Hilaria share six children between them. Their oldest, Carmen Gabriela, was born in 2013, followed by Rafael Thomas in 2015, Leonardo Angel Charles in 2016, Romeo Alejandro David in 2018, Eduardo Pau Lucas in 2020, and finally María Lucía Victoria, who was born in February of 2021 via surrogate.
Hilaria has avoided the public eye for several years, taking a step back in late 2020 following accusations of cultural appropriation. Twitter user @lenibriscoe accused Hilaria of engaging in a “decade-long grift where she impersonates a Spanish person.”
Hilaria and Baldwin both addressed the controversy, but Hilaria has since stepped back from many of her public exploits. To be fair, she has quite a bit of work laid out for her between she and Baldwin’s six children, so perhaps her energy is simply focused elsewhere.
