A red band trailer for the upcoming thriller The Loft has surfaced online today. Starring Karl Urban and James Marsden, the film centers on a loft shared by five friends that’s used for the purpose of cheating on their wives. All goes while until a woman turns up brutally murdered, with no one claiming responsibility for the crime. The group of guys then band together to figure out who set them up and who would want to see them take the fall.
Acting as a remake a of the 2008 Belgian film of the same name, the first trailer looks a bit bland and generic, nothing we haven’t seen before. That being said, the trailer has intrigued me and I’m interested in seeing it. I’m expecting a pretty routine thriller but if the plot can deliver something exciting in the way of twists and turns, then The Loft stands a chance of doing well. As it stands though, I’m not expecting much, but will likely still check it out.
The Loft stars Karl Urban, James Marsden, Wentworth Miller, Eric Stonestreet, Rachael Taylor, Rhona Mitra, Valerie Cruz, and Isabel Lucas. Currently, there is no release date.
