Jennifer Lawrence is well on her way to being a household name after gaining a ton of recognition from huge blockbusters like X-Men: First Class and of course, The Hunger Games. The next time audiences are going to see the much in demand actress will be in a smaller film, a horror-thriller called House At The End Of The StreetMark Tonderai will be directing and Elisabeth Shue and Max Thieriot will be co-starring with Lawrence.

We got our first look at the film last week and today, we have the first trailer. PG-13 rating aside, I think the film looks quite good. The trailer does give away a bit too much of the plot but the basic premise is intriguing enough to get me into theatres and there seems to be some interesting imagery at play here as well. Plus, Lawrence’s involvement makes the film even more more appealing. All in all, I’m looking forward to this one, I just wish it wasn’t rated PG-13.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

House At The End Of The Street will open on September 21st, 2012.

Seeking a fresh start, newly divorced Sarah (Oscar®-nominee Elisabeth Shue; Leaving Las Vegas, Piranha 3D) and her daughter Elissa (Oscar®-nominee Jennifer Lawrence; X-Men: First Class, Winter’s Bone) find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. Years earlier, in the house next door, a daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot, My Soul to Take), as the sole survivor. Against Sarah’s wishes, Elissa begins a relationship with the reclusive Ryan – and the closer they get, the deeper they’re all pulled into a mystery more dangerous than they ever imagined.
