Disney subsidiary 20th Century Studios have shared a special look at the upcoming whodunnit Death on the Nile, showcasing a raft of new character posters for the mystery flick by Kenneth Branagh.
Based on Agatha Christie’s 1937 novel of the same name, Death on the Nile sports a smorgasbord of stars, including Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Dawn French, Armie Hammer, Letitia Wright, Jennifer Saunders, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, and more. Branagh leads the cast as detective Hercule Poirot, pulling double duty by directing again.
The long-awaited sequel to box office smash hit Murder on the Orient Express, which earned in excess of $350 million on a budget of $55 million back in 2017, Death on the Nile has followed in the footsteps of its predecessor by assembling a host of recognizable faces.
Armie Hammer has not been hidden much from the promotional material at all, despite serious sexual assault allegations against the actor. Letitia Wright is also still featured prominently in the various trailers, TV spots and production stills, despite the continued controversy surrounding her alleged questioning of COVID-19 vaccines.
Death on the Nile is currently set for a February 10 release, even if the pandemic virtually guarantees that it won’t come close to hitting the commercial heights enjoyed by Murder on the Orient Express.
