Can you feel that? There’s a palpable sense of excitement in the air as the various movie studios and television networks prepare to strut their stuff in two weeks’ time at San Diego Comic-Con. Though a couple of the big players are sitting the convention out this year, there’s plenty to look forward to, and according to Deadline, the DC Extended Universe will be there in full force.
Along with films like Blade Runner 2049 and Ready Player One, Warner Bros. will be showing off Justice League and Aquaman, as expected, with trailers for both movies presumably arriving at that point as well. It all goes down on July 22nd at 11am PST in Hall H, where Chris Hardwick will moderate a panel that boasts Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg), before WB showcases the other aforementioned titles.
Of course, it’s the two DCEU projects that will draw the most attention, as after the smashing success of Wonder Woman, fans are beyond eager to see where the franchise goes next. One good film won’t save the entire cinematic universe and the studio really needs Justice League and, to a lesser extent, Aquaman to be hits.
Buzz surrounding the latter has been nothing but positive, but we have been hearing several concerning reports about Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon’s team-up flick. As such, you can bet that all eyes will be on Hall H later this month to see what WB’s got in store for us.
We’ll have all the Comic-Con coverage you can handle right here on WGTC in two weeks’ time, but until then, feel free to drop us a comment letting us know what you hope to see from both Justice League and Aquaman when they descend upon the convention on July 22nd.
