A new TV spot for the highly anticipated musical Les Miserables hit the internet today, featuring the first hints of songs other than I Dreamed A Dream and the first new footage that we’ve seen in a long time.
Although the spot is only the typical 30 seconds, the previous variations of the trailer that have been released have simply been rehashing the same footage, so this is our first glimpse at something significantly new. We are shown a lot more of Amanda Seyfried, as she takes up a good chunk of this spot, but Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter are still missing.
The spot features narration this time too, as opposed to just the sound of Anne Hathaway‘s singing, though they still included some of her phenomenal rendition of I Dreamed A Dream.
Starring alongside Hathaway and Seyfried are Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe, making for a cast that should lead to an excellent film debut for this story. It certainly looks as if quite a few awards could be heading to Les Miserables this winter.
Les Miserables hits theaters Christmas day.
