Liam Neeson is prone to making just about any action movie worth watching. This time, he teams up with A-Team director Joe Carnahan for The Grey, another adventure which sees him trapped in the cold Alaskan wilderness.
Judging from the trailer, it looks like Neeson is going to punch a wolf with broken glass wrapped around his knuckles. To be honest, that alone will put me in a theater. Yes, Neeson hasn’t had any spectacular films in recent years, but Unknown and Taken were both entertaining action pieces. Let’s hope The Grey is the same. It doesn’t look like it will be phenomenal, but it could be a fun film for a rainy day.
The Grey opens nationwide on January 27, 2012.
“A group of oil-rig roughnecks are left stranded on the sub-arctic tundra after their plane experiences a complete mechanical failure and crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness. The survivors, battling mortal injuries, biting cold and ravenous hunger, are relentlessly hunted and pursued by a vicious pack of rogue wolves.”
