Thor: Ragnarok Trailer (Fan-Made) Pits The God Of Thunder Against Hela

Though they definitely have their moments, Thor and Thor: The Dark World are generally regarded as leaning towards the negative end of Marvel's movie spectrum, so when a third film, Thor: Ragnarok, was announced, there didn't really seem to be the type of buzz among the loyal MCU fanbase that we usually see. Then, we started to find out a lot more about it, and that all changed.

The prospect of seeing the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) teaming up with The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) to take on Cate Blanchett’s Hela was already an exciting prospect to be sure, and when it was announced that What We Do in the Shadows director Taika Waititi had been selected to helm the picture, fans were mostly impressed by the unconventional choice. Not to mention there’s also the possibility of Doctor Strange popping in for a cameo as well.

People are definitely paying attention to Thor: Ragnarok now, especially as it heads deeper and deeper into production (as evidenced by the numerous set photos we’ve had). Unfortunately, it might still be a while before we see anything official from the Marvel threequel, but that’s where this new fan-made trailer comes in.

The bulk of the footage is obviously taken from the previous Thor films and the character’s appearances in both Avengers movies (the Heimdall vision from Age of Ultron is used particularly well), but there are also shots from several other sci-fi movies mixed in here too, along with scenes of Blanchett taken from 1998’s Elizabeth.

All in all, it’s an impressive attempt at putting together a preview for the film and certainly has us excited for November 4th, 2017, which is when Thor: Ragnarok will descend into theatres.
