Yes, the latest (and greatest?) international trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has stormed online and in it, you’ll find Thor paying a visit to the great Doctor Strange. You’ll notice that Hemsworth’s Asgardian is still sporting those luscious blonde locks, so we assume this meeting actually takes place sometime before the advent of Hela. For in Ragnarok, Cate Blanchett’s Goddess of Death, who is presumably wielding the sixth and final Infinity Stone as her source of limitless power, wages war against Asgard and ostensibly banishes Thor to the other side of the cosmos, where he crash lands on the alien planet of Sakaar.

There, he comes into contact with the Incredible Hulk – for the first time since Age of Ultron, no less – and as you’ll be able to glean from today’s dazzling international trailer, the God of Thunder must put together a makeshift team (“just like old times!) to rise up against Hela. Perhaps against his better judgment, that plan involves rekindling his sibling rivalry with Loki, all the while recruiting Valkyrie (newcomer Tessa Thompson) to the cause. And in keeping with the MCU’s tendency for bittering duos, it seems Loki and Valkyrie won’t see eye-to-eye.

On November 3rd, Thor: Ragnarok will push Chris Hemsworth’s Norse god to the absolute brink, shattering the all-powerful Mjolnir into a million piecesĀ andĀ sending him off to fight in the dusty pits of Saakar.

Taika Waititi is behind the lens for this one, who has continually impressed moviegoers through the likes of What We Do in the Shadows and the really rather excellent Hunt For the Wilderpeople. And after the New Zealand filmmaker cropped up in each genre piece, Marvel fans will be keeping their eyes peeled to spot Waititi’s Ragnarok cameo. That, and Stan Lee’s seemingly hilarious appearance, too.
