Normally, we think of the summer as being the only season boasting blockbusters, but it’s important that we not forget how huge this fall will be when it comes to superhero movies. Not only do we have Justice League to look forward to, but there’s also Thor: Ragnarok, which brings the Odinson’s journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far to a head.
And, much like DC’s team-up flick that it’ll soon be sharing cinemas with, it appears as though the latest picture starring Chris Hemsworth will be undergoing some reshoots of its own. Unearthed by Screen Rant, an open call for folks residing in and around the Atlanta, Georgia area recently encouraged them to take part in some filming between July 12 and 19. That said, we ask that you not get your hopes up because fittings already took place in late June.
But, given that you’re likely curious as to what’s going on, here’s who the call was put out for:
Caucasian-looking men who are over 18 and between 5’10” and 6’1″ are sought. You must be very physically fit, with muscular and defined arms. (Subject: FIT)
From that, we can probably deduce that the reshoots have something to do with Asgard, as it sounds like they are looking for some Viking types. After all, with Hela waging war on The Realm Eternal, it stands to reason that Thor is going to need all the help he can get. And knowing how Sakaar tends to be populated by various alien races, it’s probably safe to assume that they’ll favor CGI bodies for those scenes.
Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters on November 3.
