Following its debut across Digital HD on February 20th, Marvel’s cosmic threequel will hit home video on March 6th, and when it does, it’ll come packing a wonderful array of special features. Whether it’s a rib-tickling gag reel or the masterfully crafted 8bit scenes – this extra, in particular, renders Ragnarok‘s greatest moments (see: the final bridge battle) as a retro video game – many fans have already deemed the Blu-ray to be a day-one purchase. And we couldn’t agree more.

But with March 6th fast approaching, io9 (h/t Screen Rant) has now shared a frankly hilarious video of Taiki Waititi doing what he does best. It’s a typically self-deprecating introduction to Ragnarok, so be sure to give it a watch up above. Of course, it’ll be included on the Thor: Ragnarok Blu-ray, as well, with said bonus feature being described as so:

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has brought his unique sensibility and sense of humor to the film in a great many ways but it is the evolution of Thor’s own sense of humor, which stands out the most in the new film. This piece explores the impact Chris Hemsworth has made on the development of his widely-loved character and celebrates the mighty cast and crew who reveal the fun and hard work that went into assembling Thor’s eccentric counterparts.

Following creative efforts in the vein of Hunt For the Wilderpeople and What We Do in the Shadows, the New Zealand filmmaker brought an infectious energy to the God of Thunder that the previous adaptations were sorely lacking, resulting in one of the best and most entertaining movies of 2017. So, now comes the big question: what’s next?

A fourth Thor film, we hope, though Waititi has also expressed an interest in helming Black Widow‘s recently-announced solo outing. The takeaway? A return trip to the MCU is looking increasingly likely for the Kiwi director.

After raking in close to $820 million, Thor: Ragnarok has cemented its place in the Marvel pantheon. Black Panther will be hoping to achieve a similar feat next Friday, before Avengers: Infinity War arrives to redraw the MCU as we know it on May 4th.
