Just when you thought the SnyderVerse was deader than General Zod after Superman snapped his neck, Zack Snyder has gone and sent the DC fandom into a meltdown with his latest cryptic tweet which comes narrated by Lord Darkseid himself. In the wake of the brand-new DCU, as spearheaded by James Gunn and Peter Safran, wiping the slate clean, SnyderVerse diehards haven’t had much good news of late, but it seems a real treat is coming their way next month.
Snyder slid onto Twitter this March 15 to share a short but explosive teaser that features the voice of Ray Porter, who played the aforementioned ruler of Apokolips in the Justice League Snyder Cut. The teaser promises that something big is happening this April 28-30. In addition, the filmmaker — who’s currently gearing up to release his Netflix sci-fi movie, Rebel Moon — captioned the video “#fullcircle.”
Naturally, the man can’t just post something like this without detonating a bomb in the DC side of the internet, with SnyderVerse loyalists now desperate for additional info.
As much as fans might want this to be some kind of hint at more DC movies from Snyder, however, the smart money is on this concerning a new SnyderCon — a virtual event hosted by the director to raise money for charity that was previously held back in 2021.
The three-day date certainly aligns with talk of a second SnyderCon, but who knows what Snyder will have to say at this event? What could “full circle” refer to? Could the filmmaker be going full circle by returning to Man of Steel and finally giving us some kind of sequel? Okay, that’s probably asking way too much, but it certainly looks like reports of the SnyderVerse’s death have been greatly exaggerated.
