‘The Flash’ seems to have completely forgotten about one of the first stars to sign on

Is 'The Flash' too full of superheroes to squeeze in some romance?

The Flash is billing itself as a jam-packed superpowered extravaganza. We’re getting two versions of Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen, both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton’s Batmans (Batmen?), Sasha Calle’s debut as Supergirl, Michael Shannon returning as Zod, and possibly a brief appearance from Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.

But what of the non-powered characters? Very early in development, we learned Kiersey Clemons would be returning as Iris West in the movie. Clemons has a slightly awkward relationship with the DCU, having been cut from the theatrical version of Justice League but reinstated in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Now fans have noticed that she’s nowhere to be seen in the trailers. Has she been cut once more?

But some fans believe we may have heard her voice:

Others say the thinking is that she has a very minor role, which would fit with the multiversal storyline:

So far Clemons has had something of a raw deal when it comes to playing Iris. Even her brief moments in Zack Snyder’s Justice League showed that she was nailing the role and had real chemistry with Miller, so we’re hoping she gets some time to shine in The Flash.

That said, right now it’s looking like this long-awaited movie is going to be full throttle cape armageddon, so it looks like Barry is going to have very little to slow down for a bit of romance.

The Flash hits theaters on June 16.
