DC’s The Flash retold the story of the Flashpoint events, but with a fresh perspective. While the story had some similarities, it also made some changes to make this film stand on its own. The movie was not only emotional moments but also action-packed scenes with comedic moments here and there.

Just like most modern films lately, The Flash also has a post-credit scene that fans could catch if they’re patient enough to sit through all the credits of the film. But is it something worth watching? Did it lead to any revelations about the future of DC? Or was it something very inconsequential?

What is The Flash’s post-credits scene

After sitting through the entire credits, a new scene appears, starring Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry (aka Aquaman). Barry and Arthur leave a bar, where Barry explains about the multiverse to his superhero friend and the appearance of different versions of Batman each time he returns.

Unfortunately, Arthur was too drunk to understand and eventually collapsed into a puddle. Barry tells his superhero friend that he lives nearby and he could just crash onto his couch. But Arthur insisted that he was fine staying in the puddle. This leads Barry to return home, leaving his drunken friend alone on the sidewalk.

This depiction of Aquaman was leaked days before the film’s release and got upset fans. Many were divided about Aquaman’s alcohol tolerance and that the scene we just witnessed was the reality of Aquaman’s drinking habits. Regardless, it was still a funny scene and hopefully, Aquaman gets the redemption arc he deserves in his upcoming movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, especially since not everyone was happy to see him as a bumbling mess.
