Thanos Threatens To Burn Earth In New Avengers: Endgame TV Spot

After successfully dusting half the population of the universe in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos was content to leave well enough alone, and spend the rest of his days living a life of peaceful retirement. But going by the new Avengers: Endgame TV spot, it sounds like Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have finally pushed the Mad Titan too far, and he now plans to take out his frustration on their feeble little home world.

“After I kill you,” Thanos begins, presumably speaking to one or more of the Avengers. “I’m gonna burn this annoying little planet to cinders.” In the latest preview, it almost looks like someone else has beat the purple tyrant to it, as Captain America and Iron Man fight against the backdrop of a grim landscape full of smoke and debris. There’s been a fair amount of speculation on where this moody location might be, and while some fans have their money on an alien planet such as Titan, others believe that we’re looking at the rubble of the Avengers Compound.

In any case, Thanos may talk big, but it’s safe to assume that this next film won’t go quite so well for the villain as his last outing did. How exactly our heroes plan to defeat the Mad Titan and reverse the snap remains to be seen, though with the review embargo lifted and the film already showing in certain territories, the details are certainly out there for those who are interested.

In any case, Avengers: Endgame currently has some ridiculously high expectations to contend with, but if the critical reception is anything to go by, then most fans should come away satisfied when the film hits theaters on April 26th.
